Future Forward: Technology Repairs And Purchases

As the Head of Technology in a large school, I sometimes find my head spinning with maintenance issues. Not only do I have to organise repairs for computers, printers and copiers, but I am also responsible for acquiring up-to date equipment and software. This requires constant research to ensure value-for-money. I recently purchased new scanners and a 3D Printer which I hope will enhance the curriculum and provide valuable learning experiences. Over the years I have picked up numerous tricks-of-the-trade when it comes to hiring service personnel, negotiating technology contracts or purchasing new hardware and software.
